Freelance Web Developer, Bournemouth, Dorset
I am a Freelance Web Developer based in Bournemouth, Dorset who specialises in Front End Web Development. My main passions for Web are creating slick front facing user interfaces and page speed optimisation. I have been a professional Freelance Web Developer in Bournemouth since 2007, but even before that I have always worked on web projects for friends and family.
I champion the creation of fully responsive, mobile first websites that are accessible for both the user and client. I tend to work with the latest big open source content management systems so the project can be done quickly, affordably and has no recurring cost to the client once the project is finished. Each client is different and has different needs but I always try to work towards something that is going to be scalable and maintainable in the future.
I generally specialise in building promotional and blog websites, as well as online stores for clients. But I am always happy to listen to a project brief, no matter how big or small. If a project is not right for me, I have close links with other great designers and developers in the web community to collaborate with or refer clients on to.
Why go with me over a Digital Agency?
A big benefit of working with me is that you won’t have to pay for middle management, or hidden costs like user testing or UX and UI that should already be included in the overall cost. Agencies have to cover costs like the studio and buying things to fill it with, like big books, fancy desks / chairs and expensive coffee machines. I do all my work remotely so I can offer much more competitive working rates.
I can also promise that I will put all my time, effort and thought in to your product and brand. I take the happiness of my clients very seriously when it comes to quality of work. You will never have to play Chinese whispers to find things out because I deal with clients directly. This means I am never out of the loop and always happy to keep you updated with the latest developments in your project.
Quite often there is a big disconnect in agencies where you plan the project with non-technical people and then when it comes to being built things are different due to technical and time restrictions. This often leaves both the client and developer unsatisfied with the end result. I spec all my projects personally and that means you know what can be achieved with your timescale and budget upfront with no nasty surprises later down the line.
I am a big advocate for companies to have ownership over their digital domains and hosting. I am not trying to sell you my products or get you on rolling contracts, so once the project is complete you are free to get other people to work on it if needed.
